- Since there was free parking, I thought I did not have to do anything
It is clearly stated with signs that the driver must document when the vehicle was parked. This is done by the ticket machine, with a parking disc or using EasyPark. This is the only way you can document when the parking has started and is necessary for the parking warden to be able to check this.
- The ticket machine did not work
As long as there are several ticket machines in the parking lot, one of the others should be used if one ticket machine is out of order.

Our signs must follow the same logic as municipal signs. This means that all information is on the main sign at the entry to the area.
The regulation applies at all times of the day, every day of the year, if no time has been specified on the main sign.
If there is a time specified on the main sign, then the time will be in red for Sundays and bank holidays..
In some parking areas there are other conditions that apply, this will appear on the main sign outside the specified times. This means that outside the specified time on the main sign, the other terms will apply until the specified time becomes applicable.- I did not need to not charge my vehicle
It is clearly informed on the sign that you can only park on this parking spot if the vehicle is charging its batteries. This is to make sure there is circulation and other vehicles will be able to charge their batteries.

- My private errand lasted longer, so I arrived late
It is the driver's responsibility to make sure that there is a valid ticket/registration for the vehicle for all the time it is to parked. The driver is obliged to comply with the limited free parking time and leave the area or extend the parking time before the valid time expires.
Why you received a sanction fee
There is both free parking and parking for a fee in this parking area. First, there is free parking, when the free time expires, you will have to pay a fee to continue to park on the site. A sanction fee will be issued if you have not activated valid free parking on the machine or registered via EasyPark. If the vehicle is still parked after the free time has expired and the driver should have paid for further parking, then it will lead a sanction fee equivalent to breach of the obligation to pay. A sanction fee for breach of payment obligation is of kr. 600, but then the driver has already received a sanction of kr. 300. The amount of kr. 300 will be deducted from this sanction fee and a new sanction fee will be kr. 300. The total amount of the 2 sanction fee is kr. 600 for breach of the obligation to pay.

The first sanction fee is of 300 NOK. The vehicle is still parked in violation of the parking terms in the area and violates a new parking term equivalent to a sanction fee of 600 NOK. For that, a new sanction fee of kr 300 is issued. Both of the sanction fees you have received for the parking are of total amount 600 NOK. The new parking term that you have violated is that you should pay for the time the vehicle is parked after the free parking has expired. You have not followed the condition for either free parking or for the parking against a fee.

- Why have I received 2 sanction fees and in different amounts?
First sanction fee was issued because you did not comply with the condition of paying for the parking. This was issued the first time the vehicle was inspected. Q-Parks parking wardens can issue a new sanction fee if the vehicle is still parked in the same manner 3 days later. The new sanction fee will be equivalent to the tariff on the ticket machine. This is so that you can`t speculate about getting a sanction fee and park longer than the hourly rate would cost.

The parking spot is inside reserved area that is not publicly accesable. This means that Q-Park can manage the parking spots freely and reserve these for only one type of vehicle. If its reserved for electric vehicles, only electric vehicles can park on this spot.
