Markens P-hus opened May 1st, 2025

Markens P-hus has finally opened. The location is right in the heart of Kristiansand’s city center, just by Markens gate, and will be a new addition to the city for both short-term and long-term parking. The facility consists of two sections: an outdoor parking area in the courtyard and an indoor garage within the building.

From Markens P-hus/outdoor parking in the backyard, you’re just a short walk from attractions like Kilden Performing Arts Centre, the Fish Wharf with its cozy seafood restaurants, and Bystranda – a charming beach in the middle of the city.

Markens gate

Markens gate, often simply called “Markens” by locals, is Kristiansand’s main street and the city’s most important shopping street. It stretches from the train station in the south all the way up to Kristiansand Cathedral.

Fiskebrygga

Fiskebrygga in Kristiansand is a lively and charming harbor area that blends maritime history with modern city life, along with many cozy restaurants. A visit here gives you the chance to enjoy a delicious meal with views of the canal.

Kunstsilo

Kunstsilo is a groundbreaking art museum in Kristiansand that opened its doors in May 2024. The museum is the result of an extensive transformation of a former grain silo from 1935, located on Odderøya, into a modern center for art and culture.

Palmesus

Palmesus is Scandinavia’s largest beach party and one of Norway’s most spectacular music festivals. The festival is held annually at Bystranda in downtown Kristiansand, and in 2025 it will take place on July 4–5.

Lillemarkens P-hus has a direct connection to the Lillemarkens shopping center and the popular shopping street Markens gate in the city center. The outdoor parking Banehaven 4 is centrally located to Fjellgata 10, with office and commercial buildings nearby. The outdoor parking Tordenskjoldsgate 65 is centrally located in Kristiansand city center, with a connection to Agder County Municipality.
